Flow Restoration &
Irrigation Efficiency

APWC partners with landowners, irrigation districts, and state agencies to modernize outdated irrigation systems, reduce water loss, and restore streamflow for fish and wildlife. Through Oregon’s Allocation of Conserved Water Program, a portion of the water saved through efficiency improvements is permanently protected instream, helping to sustain rivers and streams through the dry summer months while maintaining water reliability for agricultural users.

Upper Phillips Irrigation Efficiency Project -
Little Applegate River, Ruch

The Upper Phillips Irrigation Efficiency Project replaced 1.3 miles of open, leaking ditch with a buried pipeline. This upgrade improved irrigation delivery and efficiency for local water users while returning conserved water to the Little Applegate River, enhancing summer streamflow and habitat for native salmon and steelhead.
