  • JANELLE DUNLEVY

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Janelle, based in Medford Oregon, has brought together several years of experience as an Oregon State Police, Fish & Wildlife Division Oregon Plan Trooper, working directly with Oregon’s natural resource agencies and the Rogue Basin watershed councils as head of the Rogue Basin Coordinating Council, fish passage project manager and recently as a consultant on wetland delineations. She is constantly working to expand her experience and education to fuel her drive to ensure proper coordination in the use of Oregon’s rivers, streams and natural resources. She has a B.S. in Wildlife Science and a B.S. in Fisheries Science from Oregon State University. She has been with APWC since February 2011.

  • LUKE WIMMER

    AQUATIC RESTORATION PROJECT MANAGER

    Luke oversees all aspects of our instream habitat restoration projects, including fish passage improvements, irrigation efficiency, and large woody debris additions throughout the Applegate watershed. He earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science with a concentration in water quality management from the University of Missouri. With over a decade of experience in natural resource management across the Western US, his expertise includes stream habitat monitoring, restoration project management and grant administration. He is committed to collaborating with partners to achieve a shared goal of building climate resilience into the Applegate’s water resources. Luke joined APWC in spring of 2023.

  • NATHAN GEHRES

    HABITAT RESTORATION PROJECT MANAGER

    Nathan was born and raised in the Applegate Valley. He attended Applegate School, then Hidden Valley High School, and finally, Oregon State University. After graduating from OSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Nathan worked on numerous research projects for several universities and agencies throughout Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, and New Mexico. His current position with APWC provides him with the opportunity to assist with the protection and restoration of the diverse and rich habitats of this unique valley. Nathan has developed projects related to improvements of instream habitat, fuels reduction and wildfire mitigation, invasive species removal, and the planting of native species in riparian areas.

  • AARON KRIKAVA

    PRESCRIBED BURN PROGRAM DIRECTOR

    Aaron has lived in the Applegate Valley for 18 years working primarily as a forestry and fuel reduction contractor before shifting his career to wildland firefighting. This work has given him important insight into the importance of fire as a land management tool. With that in mind, after 12 years on the board of directors of the APWC, he stepped down in 2021 to take on the role of Program Director for the Applegate Partnership and Watershed Council Prescribed Fire Program. He is also on the Editorial Committee of the Applegater newspaper. Aaron has a B.S. double major in Chemistry/Psychology from Fordham University.

  • CALEB GALLOWAY

    PROVOLT RESTORATION PROJECT MANAGER

    Caleb Galloway is a 13-year resident of the Applegate Valley, and joined the APWC in April 2019. He became the Provolt Restoration Project Manager in 2020. Originally from Missouri, Caleb is a certified machinist with additional backgrounds in landscape/property management, equipment operations, nursery experience, and trail building; he also has an in-depth knowledge of local ecology. Caleb has managed the riparian restoration of the Provolt Seed Orchard, Cantrall Buckley Park, and the Thompson Creek Habitat Restoration Project.

  • EVA KING

    EDUCATION & OUTREACH PROGRAM DIRECTOR

    Eva grew up in Montana, and moved to the Rogue Valley in 2016. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Montana State University and a M.S. in Environmental Education from Southern Oregon University, as well as an Oregon teaching license. Eva is passionate about getting kids outdoors, and has designed, developed, and implemented both day and overnight environmental education programs for a variety of K-12 students. She taught abroad in New Zealand and Austria, and is a certified PADI Rescue Diver. When not at work, Eva enjoys hiking & camping with her family, travel, and live music. She has been with APWC since January 2022.

  • CHARLOTTE HYDE

    EDUCATION & OUTREACH COORDINATOR

    Charlotte hails from Massachusetts, where she grew up between mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. She received her B.A in Environmental Biology from Pomona College and relocated to the Rogue Valley in 2022 to pursue an M.S in Environmental Education from Southern Oregon University. Charlotte served as Education Coordinator at the Farm at SOU and developed and carried out a 9-week outdoor school program. Charlotte is driven by her love for ecology, and she aims to instill a sense of belonging in and appreciation for the natural world in students and community partners. By joining APWC, she looks forward to deepening her understanding of the history, people, and natural systems of the Applegate Valley. She has been with APWC since February 2024.

  • CHAS ROGERS

    WILLIAMS CREEK WATERSHED COUNCIL COORDINATOR & APWC BOARD MEMBER

    Chas has worked as a contractor for the APWC on stream restoration projects for over 10 years and has developed habitat for salmon on several streams in the Applegate Valley. Chas has an M.S. in Geology from the University of Oregon and has been Project Manager for the Williams Creek Watershed Council for over 20 years. He has completed several important studies and surveys that have led to the completion of complex stream improvement projects in the Williams Creek sub-watershed. He has worked with the APWC on large wood instream restoration on a portion of our Thompson Creek Restoration Project. He is the Coordinator for the Williams Creek Watershed Council and continues to work on a instream restoration projects in the Williams Creek Watershed. He was elected to the APWC board of directors in late 2021.

  • LIZ BARDON

    OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

    Liz Bardon is the Office Admin for the Partnership and lives in Ruch in semi-retirement. While looking for part-time work in 2018, she discovered an opportunity practically in her backyard as the Office Admin for the Partnership. Her duties include grant fiscal administration and general bookkeeping. Prior to her semi-retirement, Liz worked in healthcare and publishing. She developed and implemented innovative programs to help seniors maintain their health and independence, and held several roles in Medicare Advantage health plans including plan director, corporate communications, quality control and compliance. Liz holds a degree in communications and has extensive experience in corporate communications, public relations and print production.
