Our Prescribed Burn Program Director, Aaron Krikava, formed the Rogue Valley Prescribed Burn Association in 2021. It’s a group of community members, including local professional fire practitioners, working together to share equipment, knowledge, and volunteer time to accomplish prescribed burns on private lands. The RVPBA is the first prescribed burn association in Oregon. It aims to increase community support for controlled burning through community participation in training, networking, and prescribed burning on private land.
