Applegate & Williams Fire District introduce three programs to reduce wildfire risk for residents

The Applegate and Williams Fire District is offering three programs to help Applegate residents reduce the risk of wildfire to their homes and community. These programs are designed to help educate and reduce the barriers that may prevent residents from protecting their homes.

  1. Home Assessment:

    • A member of the Applegate & Williams Fire District team will conduct a site visit and provide recommendations on how to better protect your home.

  2. Trailer Program:

    • After vegetation and/or tree limbs have been removed, the Applegate & Williams Fire District team can drop off (and lock up) a trailer for you. You load it up and they haul it away 2-3 days later.

  3. Chipper Program:

    • If you remove a few more limbs or a tree, the Applegate & Williams Fire District team can bring out their chipper.
