Riparian & Upland Habitat Restoration
Treated 173 acres of Himalayan blackberry.
Removed 1,000 dyer’s woad from Williams Creek & 900 toadflax and 257 Scotch thistle from a property in Ruch.
Monitored 130 acres for target plants.
Wildfire Risk Reduction
Conducted several live fire understory burn trainings, pile burning workshops, and community events related to wildfire resiliency through Rogue Valley Prescribed Burn Association partners.
Secured an additional $2 million for fuels reduction work.
Continued updating the Applegate Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
Environmental Education
Served nine schools through Applegate Outdoor School and the Grow Youth Program.
Piloted the Applegate Outdoor Summer Camp program.
Planted 150 native plants, removed 0.5 acres of noxious weeds, and built 1,300 ft of trails with Grow Youth students at Provolt Recreation Site.
Community Outreach
Formed Applegate After Dark, a community group dedicated to preserving the Applegate’s dark skies.
Logged 900 volunteer hours with the dedicated members of the Provolt Volunteer Team.
Through Applegate After Dark, hosted "The Twilight Zone: Bugs, Bats, and Beyond,” drawing 50 community members.
